In an ongoing quest to help the members of Local 1930 and our friends who happen upon our website, we will try to pass along news worthy items concerning the state of the library world. Many of these news articles are informative and at times a little scary. What happens in one part of the country or the world can and sometimes will impact on what happens throughout the library world. We must forever be vigilant to the changes that are thrust upon us but at the same time hold true to our goals of “Service Excellence and Service with a Smile” if we are to remain viable.
All Local 1930 members should be aware that if they are in need of union support or want to discuss an issue concerning their work site or position within the Library that a union representative is only an email or phone call away.
Feeling stressed out or in need of someone to talk to contact the DC37 Personal Service Unit (PSU)
You have the right to demand the presence of a union representative
